    Digital Literacy

Digital literacy means having the skills you need to live, learn, and work in a world where the use of technology for instance social media (Facebook, TicTok, etc), the Internet and physical devices including smart phones and tablets is inescapable.

The use of IT equipment and software is constantly increasing both in the workplace and at home.  Being confident in your IT and digital skills can have a positive impact in making day to day tasks much easier.

Digital literacy support is usually on an individual basis meaning topics covered can be tailored to each user.

To request training support, please complete the online Training Request form.

DLS IconIn addition to the support offered by the team, a large amount of online training and support materials are available via the NHS Training system, the IT Skills Pathway.  The system includes a Self-Assessment tool, which can suggest relevant learning pathways. Courses on both Digital Literacy and Digital Skills covering the fundamental skills you need to be more confident with IT are available via the IT Skills Pathway.

Support and information on how to access the IT Skills Pathway can be found on the Digital Literacy Support Materials page
