    eObs Overview

eObs is used on Inpatient wards at BCHC to record real time, bedside clinical observations for patients and feeds directly into Rio, the main electronic patient record system used at the Trust.

To get an eObs login, you must have a smartcard and Rio/eObs access.  For further details on how to obtain this, please see the Gaining Access to eObs Quick Reference Guide

    Flow Overview

Flow links directly to the Trust's electronic patient record system, Rio and provides a real time view of patients who are occupying beds in Inpatient units at BCHC.

A view only version (locked) Flow is accessed via a Ward login.  Inpatient staff who are Rio trained and have an active smart card can request access to editable (unlocked) Flow where they can add care alerts, record leave, discharge status etc.
